First Day of School
The first day of school can be very overwhelming, but don't worry. The first day of school is a wonderful opportunity to meet new people. Many schools host "Welcome Weeks" and other back-to-school activities during this time. Here are a few tips to make your first day school a great one.
1.) Most teachers will hand out their syllabus for the course and let you know the agenda for the semester. Be prepared. Bring a notebook and pens.
2.) If you haven't taken a tour of the campus today is your time to do it. During your break, take a tour of your campus and find your classes.
3.) Eat lunch with someone other than your friends from high school. This is a great way to meet new people.
4.) Exchange numbers/emails with another student in your course. This person can be your study buddy or keep you updated if you have to miss a day.
5.) Check out some of the events your school is doing for the first week. There may be an organization fair, a casino night, a play, or more.
6.) Have fun and don't stress. You're not the only one who is having a first day. :)
