When most of us get ready for college we think about the fun stuff. We prepare ourselves for the partying and going Greek. We can't wait to meet new people or get the chance to study abroad. We're so excited that we forget about our true reason for going. College is the next step in our journey to get a career and finally move out of our parent's house. College is about getting a DEGREE. Partying and joining clubs is included in the college experience, but never forget that you're supposed to leave school with a degree. For some of us that takes a while, but if you want to leave in four years and not seven or eight take the following steps.
1.) Know what you're going to get your degree in. Some of us may not know, but pre-reqs can help you find that out.
2.) Study. It's okay to go to the parties, but set a study schedule an stick to it.
3.) If you are having trouble with something talk to your professor. They are willing to help you achieve success in their class.
4.)Get organized. Keep all of your notes and assignments together. Also, keep all of your emails. They may come in handy later.
These are just a few tips for staying on top of things.
